As a Supervisor, you are an important link between what is designed and what is actually built. You are the point of contact for residents and the contractor, ensuring the environment remains livable during the works. You will learn the profession in practice, with guidance from experienced colleagues and a specialized course.
What you do
- Participate in consultations during the preparation of civil engineering work
- Review technical aspects and contractual agreements
- Regularly coordinate with contractors at project locations
- Monitor the progress and quality of the work
- Ensure everything proceeds safely and according to agreement
- Identify risks, such as soft soil, and devise safe, practical solutions in consultation with the contractor and project leader
- Prevent costly errors and maintain progress
- Site inspections and visits
- Administrative and financial processing
- Contact and coordination with contractors, cable and pipeline companies, residents, businesses

- Eager to learn and willing to develop within a technical role at a government organization
- Prepared to learn the profession in practice, with guidance from experienced colleagues
- Prepared to follow a specialized course for a strong start
