A care organization is building a safe haven for young people and young adults who need support. Their backgrounds and treatments vary, but the counselor is a constant beacon in their lives. The new department offers a place for 15 young people to stabilize, discover, develop, recover, and grow to be ready for the next step in life. This is done from a presence approach, belief in opportunities, and a focus on participation.
What you will do.
- Provide structure to the target group.
- Allow the participant as much control as possible and, where necessary, offer support in all areas, such as living skills (cooking, cleaning).
- Function as a team player, but also be independent and self-reliant.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, be resilient, realistic, optimistic, and transparent.
- Enthusiastically contribute to building the new department and providing care for the target group.
- Manage a caseload as a fixed mentor, collaborating with the personal counselor on set goals.
- Actively participate in thinking about the department's development, even with challenges.
- Contribute to further development with confidence, a critical eye, decisiveness, and perseverance.
What they ask
- MBO level 4 diploma in a social field.
- Knowledge and experience with various target groups.
- Be a Christian and be able to articulate what that means to you.
Preferences.
- Experience working with young people and/or young adults.
Practical
- Weekday work is organized in 2 shifts (day and late).
- An intermediate shift is added on weekends.
- Weekends and public holidays are distributed as fairly as possible among the team.
