Dutch Teacher with NT2 experience

Your lessons give students more than language skills: they give self-confidence. You help MBO students with extra language support to successfully complete their education. You teach motivated students from diverse backgrounds, many of whom have an NT2 background. With your guidance, you increase their self-confidence and their chances of obtaining a diploma.

What you will do.

  • You will provide Dutch/NT2 lessons to MBO students who need extra language support.
  • You will align your lessons with what students learn in their own education for the Dutch subject.
  • You will conduct intake and progress interviews and map out language development together with the student.
  • You will differentiate your lessons and offer tailor-made support to students from various educational programs, levels, and backgrounds.
  • You will work closely with the Language Support project leader and maintain contact with teachers from the students' programs where necessary.

Profile

We are looking for a Dutch (NT2) teacher who is energized by language education and enjoys helping students progress. You see differences between students not as a challenge, but as an opportunity to offer tailor-made support. You create a safe atmosphere where students dare to practice, are allowed to make mistakes, and visibly grow.

  • Excellent command of the Dutch language, both orally and in writing.
  • Second-degree teaching qualification in Dutch.
  • Experience in teaching Dutch.
  • Ability to differentiate well and connect with different language levels.

Preferences.

  • Experience with NT2.
  • Experience with MBO students and/or non-native speaking target groups.
  • Enjoy contributing to the further development of the department.
