Product Owner

A parent organization of social work organizations is looking for an AI Product Owner. The organization aims to deploy AI in a humane and responsible way to give professionals more space for residents and for what truly matters in social work.

What you will do.

• You will be the technical and content-related linchpin within the AI transition.
• You will translate challenges and needs from the workplace into functional technical solutions.
• You will monitor the quality and coherence of all AI applications within the organization.
• You will navigate between content, technology, and privacy.
• You will understand how AI tools work, their possibilities and limitations, and how they relate to the Microsoft environment.
• You will build and manage the AI toolstack.
• You will maintain an overview of applications under development, in pilot phase, and approved applications.
• You will ensure structure and coherence between initiatives.
• You will collaborate with AI accelerators and AI ambassadors, be their technical point of contact, and help streamline and prioritize requests.
• You will assess AI applications for quality, safety, and added value.
• You will enthuse colleagues about new AI possibilities and encourage responsible use, for example through webinars.

Key Responsibilities.

• Managing the AI toolstack and associated configurations, including an overview of approved tools and applications.
• Coordinating and supporting the development, maintenance, and implementation of AI applications, ensuring quality and coherence.
• Translating challenges and needs from the workplace into technical AI solutions, streamlining and prioritizing requests.
• Guiding AI accelerators and AI ambassadors in building and adapting AI applications, serving as their technical point of contact.
• Maintaining an implementation roadmap that tracks applications from initial idea through pilot to operational management.
• Monitoring the technical progress of AI implementations within the group and ensuring coherence and synergy between initiatives.
• Systematically involving the privacy representative in every AI application and tool selection.

What they ask

• Relevant experience as a product owner and with AI and AI tools.
• In-depth technical knowledge of AI and the ability to independently build agents and realize small automations (e.g., with Power Automate).
• Knowledge of and experience with the Microsoft 365 environment, including the integration of applications and services, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Knowledge of Copilot and the ability to assess and apply various AI applications and tools in a coherent manner.
• Strong ability to translate problems and needs from the workplace into technical solutions.
• Skilled in maintaining an overview, structuring, and distinguishing between different initiatives and development phases.
• Basic knowledge of privacy and information security, familiar with relevant laws and regulations such as AVG (GDPR), AI Act, and NIS2.
• Understanding the impact of these regulations on the use of AI applications and digital systems, and knowing when specialist expertise should be involved.
• A connecting and accessible discussion partner for both technical and non-technical colleagues.
