You will be hired by a department focused on nature and environment and will work as an independent chairman of administrative advisory committees for area processes. The role involves chairing administrative advisory committees and sounding board groups. The assignment is successfully executed when the following results are achieved:
- The meetings of the administrative advisory committees are prepared and chaired independently, carefully, and efficiently.
- The meetings have led to an orderly decision-making process and clear documentation of agreements, action points, and advice.
- Stakeholders and participants are guided independently in the administrative process.
- Any administrative or substantive tensions are identified and discussed in a timely manner, with the contractor contributing to constructive progress of the process.
- For a specific area process, independent process-related support is provided where necessary during land negotiations.
- Administrators and involved parties are provided with independent process-related and strategic advice aimed at the progress of the area processes.
What you do
- Prepare and chair the meetings of the administrative advisory committees and ensure a structured and efficient gathering.
- Sense specific sensitivities and coordinate to lead to an orderly discussion in an administrative advisory committee meeting.
- Act as an independent chairman and maintain contacts with stakeholders.
- Mediate internal conflicts and ensure a constructive solution.
- Advise board members and other members on important decisions and strategic choices.
- Provide process-related support where necessary during land negotiations for a specific area process.
Profile
The contractor is deployed as an independent chairman of administrative advisory committees and sounding board groups. The assignment may be carried out by an independent entrepreneur who organizes the activities at their own discretion and without hierarchical supervision. The client formulates the desired result and the administrative context but does not direct the daily execution of the activities.
The contractor determines the setup, preparation, and execution of the activities themselves, taking into account the planning of meetings and administrative consultations. The contractor performs the activities independently and from their own professional responsibility. The contractor uses their own business resources insofar as can reasonably be expected. The contractor is not embedded in the regular administrative organization and does not perform activities belonging to a structural staff position.

- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
- Minimum of 8 years of demonstrable work experience as an independent chairman of administrative consultation structures within area and transition processes.
Preferences.
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level in the direction of agriculture, economics, public administration, area development, environmental management, or a comparable relevant education.
- Demonstrable work experience collaborating with various stakeholders in rural areas.
- Demonstrable work experience with administrative advising or administrative activities in the field of nature projects/areas in a Dutch province.
- Demonstrable work experience with setting up, guiding, and executing complex area processes in rural areas.
- Demonstrable work experience and area knowledge of area processes concerning specific nature areas.
