Debt Assistance Consultant
An experienced Debt Assistance Consultant is sought for a government organization. In this role, you will guide residents from intake to aftercare, manage cases and processes, and collaborate with partners. You will have the opportunity to contribute to building a team and working method that are fully in development. A stress-sensitive and personal approach is central, where not only the financial situation matters, but also the resident's story and circumstances.
What you do
- Conduct intake interviews and map out the financial and broader living situation.
- Manage cases and processes for your own caseload.
- Assess applications and trajectories against relevant legislation.
- Guide debt settlements, budget management, and payment agreements with creditors.
- Implement early detection, including through home visits.
- Collaborate with administrators, neighborhood teams, housing corporations, health insurers, energy companies, and other chain partners.
- Provide aftercare and guidance towards sustainable financial stability.
- Contribute to improving processes and working methods within the new team.
