Legal permit officer Environmental Act

• You assess approximately 500 environmental permit applications and approximately 200 preliminary consultation requests.
• You review building plans against laws and regulations (with the exception of the Decree on Building Works and the Living Environment).
• You primarily handle complex environmental permit applications and preliminary consultation requests.
• You draft decisions.
• If an application does not fit within the environmental plan, you search for possibilities that do fit, in consultation with the applicant.

• You are part of the team and participate in internal meetings.
• You work closely with internal stakeholders.
• You work under the daily guidance of the responsible manager; priorities, activities, and desired results are determined by the organization.

What they ask

• Demonstrably completed legal education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
• Minimum of 3 years demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years in the field of WABO and the Environmental Act
• Minimum of 1 year demonstrable work experience in the past 3 years with conducting objection and appeal procedures
• Minimum of 3 years demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years as an environmental permit officer within a municipal organization

Preferences.

• Minimum of 5 years demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years in the field of WABO and the Environmental Act
• Demonstrable work experience with administrative advising at a government organization
• Minimum of 5 years demonstrable work experience as an environmental permit officer within a municipal organization
• Demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years with interpreting building plans
