Teacher for Students with Internalizing Issues (Middle School)

Work in a close-knit team and contribute to the care and education of a vulnerable target group. This vacancy focuses on the internalizing target group within a special education school.

What you do

  • Create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Teach and differentiate within a group of a maximum of 14 students.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and other involved professionals.
  • Work with children aged 8 to 10 with internalizing issues.
  • Collaborate daily with a support person.
  • Adapt the curriculum to the educational needs of students with internalizing issues.
  • Additional tasks:
  • Guide a colleague from your classroom team.
  • Hold final didactic and pedagogical responsibility.
  • Provide lessons partly in a classical setting and partly in small-group instructions.
  • Ensure a safe, predictable, and structured learning environment.
  • Prepare a daily report with the support person and send it weekly to parents.
  • Be warm and provide clear boundaries.

What they ask

  • Clarity, relationship-oriented work, and resilience.
  • A valid teaching qualification for Primary Education (PABO).
  • Experience in trauma-sensitive education and/or PBS is a strong plus.
  • Skill in creating a safe and structured learning environment.
