For a period of six months, we are looking for an experienced Social Policy Advisor. You will be the account manager and administrative lead for the dossiers of regional health services. You will ensure that the substantive, financial, and administrative processes surrounding these joint regulations proceed carefully. You will monitor regional developments in public health and ambulance care. Subsequently, you will translate these into the policy and administrative decision-making of a municipal organization.
In doing so, you will look beyond the individual dossiers. You will establish connections with the local Health Vision, other topics within the theme of Health, and the development towards a Single Social Domain. In this way, you contribute to coherent policy that is directly meaningful to the residents.
What you do
- Be the account manager and administrative lead for the dossiers of regional health services.
- Advise on joint regulations and their implications for the organization.
- Monitor and interpret developments in public health and ambulance care.
- Translate regional developments into local policy choices and administrative advice.
- Ensure alignment with the local Health Vision and the movement towards a Single Social Domain.
- Advise management, administration, and the portfolio holder on choices, opportunities, and risks.
- Prepare input for administrative and regional consultations.
- Support the administrative cycle of the daily and general boards of the regional services.
- Draft college proposals, administrative advice, and annotations for the portfolio holder.
- Assess budgets, administrative documents, and policy proposals for content, finances, governance, risks, and implications for the organization.
- Coordinate municipal efforts with policy and finance colleagues, regional municipalities, and regional partners.
- Monitor the progress of agreements, commitments, and decision-making processes.
- Carefully record important decisions, points of attention, and next steps.
- Ensure a clear handover to the colleague returning after the temporary replacement.
- Address other current policy issues within the Health theme in consultation with the team.
Profile
You are an experienced policy advisor who quickly identifies what a dossier needs. You bring clarity to complex information and make clear what choices or decisions are necessary. You work independently and take immediate ownership. You know how decision-making proceeds within a political-administrative environment. You understand that municipal responsibilities, regional interests, substantive issues, and financial consequences are closely intertwined.
You are approachable and connecting, but also dare to advise firmly and clearly. You are the link between regional cooperation and local health policy. You ensure that developments, opportunities, and risks are brought to the right administrative table in a timely manner. With your commitment, administrative sensitivity, and results-oriented approach, you provide the continuity these dossiers require.
What they ask
- Minimum of a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a policy advisor or strategic advisor within a political-administrative environment.
- Knowledge of public health and/or ambulance care.
- Demonstrable experience with administrative advising and regional cooperation.
- Agreement with the stated secondment conditions.
Preferences.
- More than 5 years of experience as a policy advisor or strategic advisor within a political-administrative environment.
