Real Estate Project Leader
A housing corporation provides homes for approximately 10,000 households in a specific region. The organization feels responsible for strong, diverse neighborhoods where residents truly feel at home. It is an ambitious organization with approximately 130 employees, short lines of communication, and an informal work atmosphere. In the coming years, the organization faces a major social challenge, including building over 1200 new homes with significant investments.
Extensive investments are being made to make the housing stock more sustainable, renew it, and future-proof it, with projects such as extensive renovations, new construction, demolition-new construction, and area developments.
What you do
- Responsible for multiple complex new construction and restructuring projects simultaneously.
- Contribute to the initiative and planning phase.
- Play an active role in tenders and contract formation.
- Ultimately responsible for the realization and aftercare of projects.
- Strictly manage quality, planning, budget, and risks.
- Work closely with municipalities, residents, co-makers, advisors, and other stakeholders as a directing client.
- Understand different interests, create support, and maintain course towards the desired project result.
- Apply participation and stakeholder management as integral parts of successful project management.
- Combine a commercial perspective with the social mission of the organization.
- Make well-considered choices that contribute to both the quality of neighborhoods and the value and future-proofing of the real estate.
- Share knowledge and experience with colleagues and contribute to the further development of project-based work within the organization.
What they ask
- Completed HBO or WO education, for example in Architecture, Real Estate, Civil Engineering, or similar.
- Extensive experience as a project leader within real estate, area development, or construction.
- Successfully realized complex new construction and restructuring projects.
- Strong in realizing projects and purposefully managing quality, planning, budget, and risks.
- Successfully guide projects from initiation to aftercare, always keeping the end result in mind.
- A strong discussion partner who can connect interests and dares to make decisions.
- Experience with stakeholder management and easily navigate between various external and internal parties.
- Good negotiation skills and ability to maintain an overview in a complex environment.
- Belief in the power of participation and understanding the importance of involving stakeholders in real estate developments.
- Proactive, identify opportunities and translate them into concrete improvements.
- Feel at home in a social organization where collaboration, ownership, and results are central.
