Information Provision Coordinator

As an Information Provision (IV) Coordinator, you play an important role in delivering products and services related to the various ICT needs of a government organization. You initiate and supervise projects, from demand articulation to transfer to the management organization. You also ensure timely process improvements related to ICT needs.
What you will do.
- Play a crucial role in the IV change process, a structured procedure for controlled implementation of changes in information systems, data, or ICT services.
- Prioritize and steer the delivery of ICT needs via the IV Council.
- Translate IV wishes from the organization into appropriate ICT products and services and be responsible for their delivery.
- Introduce information needs and change issues into the IV Council.
- Monitor the coherence of the portfolio and account for the progress and prioritization of IV wishes.
- Report directly to the Head of the Information Provision, Information Security, and Privacy department.
- Maintain structural contact with key stakeholders regarding the progress of IV wishes.
- Manage expectations and ensure everyone is aware of ongoing IV changes and expected delivery times.
- Supplement the portfolio of all (major) IV changes with planning and report on this to the IV Council.
- Ensure results are achieved, plans are updated, and intervene in case of exceptions on ongoing projects.
- Continuously switch between tactical and operational levels to elevate information provision within the organization.
Expected results:
- Policy to IV translation: Translate organizational needs into concrete ICT products and services (advisory memos, Twopagers, plans).
- Portfolio and project prioritization: Provide plans and business cases for capacity and budget allocation decisions by the IV Council.
- Progress and risk reporting: Inform the IV Council about the status, feasibility, and risks of ongoing digitalization and ICT projects.
- Steering as client: Enforce corrective/temporary emergency measures with suppliers and internal IT teams.
- Strategic advice: Provide solicited and unsolicited advice on laws and regulations and the impact of new policies on existing information provision.
What they ask
- Minimum university level (WO) work and thinking ability with Information Science (or comparable).
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in similar roles.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in politically sensitive environments.
- Knowledge of BiSL, Agile methodologies, and stakeholder management.
- Plus: experience with portfolio management.
