Specialist Modular & Housing
A defense organization is experiencing rapid growth and has an urgent need for living, working, and training spaces. Building permanent infrastructure takes time, making a bridging solution crucial.
What you will do. You will support the defense organization with your specific knowledge as a civilian expert. You are the specialist in the interim housing market and bridge the gap between rapid growth and permanent construction, without compliance issues. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to realize creative, flexible, and legally sound solutions.
- Translate needs: Together with the units, identify, analyze, and formalize the requirements for temporary housing.
- Smartly utilize the market: Determine which solution fits best (modular unit, rental unit, prefabricated hall). Maintain a sharp eye on costs, delivery times, and regulations.
- Planning & budget: Contribute to tight, realistic planning and monitor expenditures and costs.
- Tenders & contracts: Assist in setting up efficient tenders, support negotiations on the best conditions, service structures, and discounts, and contribute to watertight contracts.
- Permits & regulations: Liaise with municipalities, advise on the application for (temporary) occupancy permits, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and safety standards.
- Connect: Ensure seamless coordination with relevant internal and external departments.
What they ask
- A completed HBO or WO education or equivalent work and thinking level, preferably in a technical, administrative, or business direction.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable work experience in the interim housing market (familiar with modular systems, prefabricated solutions, and rental contracts).
- Thorough knowledge of municipal procedures, permit processes, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills, results-oriented, communicatively skilled, and a true connector.
- People-oriented: enjoys working in a team and is fully committed to the organization's mission.
Practical
- A security clearance (VGB) is part of the application process.
- Dutch nationality is required.
- Providing a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is a condition for appointment.
