An HR specialist for flexible and temporary IT staffing is looking for a Java Developer for projects with various clients. The position can be filled with either a permanent contract or a freelance contract.
What you will do.
- Perform Java upgrades and migrations of existing applications, including older Java versions (from Java 7).
- Analyze existing applications and identify necessary adjustments for the upgrade.
- Solve technical problems and perform troubleshooting during the migration process.
- Test and validate upgraded applications to ensure stability and performance.
- Collaborate with other developers and technical teams within the upgrade project.
- For part of the team: support application rollout and infrastructure within Tomcat, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
Profile
- Expert level in Java Core (Java 7 to Java 21+).
- Demonstrable expertise in Java upgrades and migrations of existing applications.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with analysis & troubleshooting.
- Experience with Tomcat is a plus.
- Expert knowledge of OpenShift is a strong asset (optional, depending on the role).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes is an added value.
- Good knowledge of Dutch or French, supplemented with good knowledge of English.
