In this role, you will functionally report to a Coordinating Contract Manager and be responsible for the management, implementation, setup, compliance, and optimal utilization of contractual agreements with suppliers of a national defense organization. The goal of these contracts is to optimally support the entire organization. You will be the link between demanders and suppliers and proactively evaluate collaborations.
Your primary task is to ensure that the added value of contracts is utilized and to adjust where necessary. As a contract manager, you will advise internal departments (solicited and unsolicited) to achieve the best results. You will be part of an ambitious and growing team of contract managers.
What you do
- Manage, implement, set up, comply with, and optimally utilize contractual agreements with suppliers.
- Act as the link between demanders and suppliers.
- Proactively evaluate collaborations.
- Ensure that the added value of contracts is utilized and adjust where necessary.
- Advise internal departments to achieve the best results.
- Quickly form a clear picture of all stakeholders and their interests.
- Ensure the right balance between the content of the contract and the relationship with civil contract partners and internal stakeholders.
What they ask
- Minimum of a recognized HBO diploma (higher professional education), preferably in Purchasing Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commercial Economics, or a comparable field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a contract manager, supplier manager, or in a similar role within the purchasing domain.
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrable experience with the MS Office suite and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

- Collaborates effectively, is problem-solving oriented, and flexible regarding deployment and working hours.
- Is organizationally sensitive and possesses excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Practical
- From 2025, employees will receive holiday pay and year-end bonus via an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) totaling 16.33% of the salary.
- The IKB can be used for:
- Exchange of commuting allowance (maximum 15% of salary).
- The monthly difference between the allowance for personal transport costs for commuting and the fiscal maximum.
- A bicycle for personal use, including accessories and bicycle insurance.
- A computer that can also be used for work or study, including accessories and computer insurance.
- A battery or electrical components for a bicycle.
- Payment of trade union contributions.
