Quality Controller
Your eye for quality makes the plants shine. From arrival to delivery, you monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing plants. With your keen eye, you ensure that only the best greenery reaches the customers. This position is primarily in the morning, leaving afternoons free and making it easy to combine with other activities. You will work at a family business in the green sector that aims to make Europe greener with quality and sustainable greenery.
What you will do.
- You check plants based on a risk analysis.
- You register deviations in the system and explain them verbally to colleagues when necessary.
- You have an advisory role towards purchasing regarding the quality of the plants.
- You perform temperature and humidity measurements.
- You arrange any returns to growers.
- You follow up on reports and agreements resulting from your controls.
Profile
You see what others miss: detail, quality, and potential. You have a feel for plants (or fresh produce), work practically, and dare to point out deviations. You communicate clearly, enjoy working together, and like to contribute to better quality with your expertise. This role is a good fit if you currently work (or have worked) as a florist, at a grower, as an inspector, or in a related agri-food environment where quality and product control are important.
