A Data Platform Engineer / Spark Engineer is sought to join a major Asset Management transformation program and help build a new enterprise data platform following the integration with another organization. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone with deep expertise in Apache Spark and Spark Connect, and experience building high-performance, large-scale data platforms in modern cloud-native environments.
What you do
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data platform components using Spark and Spark Connect
- Build high-performance solutions for large-scale distributed data processing
- Contribute to the architecture and development of a new enterprise data platform
- Deploy and operate Spark workloads in Kubernetes environments
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and platform teams across the organization
What they ask
- Senior-level Apache Spark experience (must)
- Strong Spark Connect experience (must)
- Solid software/data engineering background
- Experience with large-scale or distributed data platforms
- Kubernetes experience is highly desirable
Profile
- Fluent in English
- French is an advantage
- You will be part of a strategic data platform initiative within a leading Asset Management organization
- You will work on modern data infrastructure and scalable engineering solutions with a strong focus on innovation and long-term impact
- You have hands-on experience with Spark and Spark Connect and enjoy building robust data platforms
