Youth Residential Counselor

• Organize (group) activities with the young people, such as cooking, sports, or creative activities.
• Act as a shadow mentor for complex cases when necessary.
• Conduct methodical discussions with the young people.
• Perform room checks and provide information.
• Work closely in morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
• Participate in regular meetings and intervision discussions to ensure quality.

• Be empathetic without losing professional distance and be clear in setting boundaries.
• Hold at least a completed MBO level 4 diploma in an agogic field (e.g., Social Work, Personal counselor social care, Counselor specific target groups, or Pedagogical employee).
• Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of methodical guidance and intercultural communication.
• Be resilient, social, collegial, and reliable.
• Be available for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are always wake-up shifts). This is a strict requirement.
• Always work with at least one other colleague.
