Clinical physiotherapist rehabilitation medicine

• Focus on clinical patient care in the departments of trauma surgery, orthopedics, vascular surgery, and acute admissions within an academic medical center.
• Be responsible for physiotherapeutic care, together with fellow physiotherapists.
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons during outpatient clinics.
• Work intensively with a regional trauma rehabilitation network and play an important role in communication according to established guidelines.
• Provide physiotherapeutic care to patients in trauma surgery, orthopedics, vascular surgery, and acute admissions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary consultations and outpatient clinics with trauma surgeons.
• Ensure good coordination and communication with physiotherapists within the network.
• Provide training for, among others, nurses and doctors in training.
• Participate in a weekend duty roster.

What they ask

• Experienced clinical physiotherapist who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary and complex hospital environment.
• Proof of authorization as a physiotherapist, registration in the BIG-register, and registration in the Kwaliteitshuis Fysiotherapie.
• Minimum three years of recent experience as a clinical physiotherapist and demonstrable affinity with trauma surgery, orthopedics, or vascular surgery.
• Affinity with scientific research and applying research results in practice.
• A curious and quality-oriented attitude, with strong problem-solving and reflective abilities.
• Good oral and written communication skills and experience in providing training.

Where you work.

• The Rehabilitation Medicine department consists of four units: Pediatric Rehabilitation, Neurorehabilitation, Diabetic Foot & Exercise, and Acute Rehabilitation.
• Within the department, approximately 200 colleagues collaborate on patient care, scientific research, and education.
• You will work within the Acute Rehabilitation Unit.
• Collaboration with rehabilitation doctors, researchers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, podiatrists, social workers, and medical psychologists.
• Close collaboration with trauma surgery, orthopedics, and vascular surgery specialists.
• An important role in collaboration with a regional trauma rehabilitation network.
• A versatile function due to the combination of clinical and outpatient patient care.
