This team provides legal and policy advice in the field of environmental and construction permits, and conducts legal proceedings. Legal advice on external safety, air quality, noise pollution, and energy also falls within the scope of duties. The legal counsel works highly independently and is resourceful, connecting, innovative, and convincing.
Collaboration with internal and external clients is important.
What you will do.
- Provide substantive advice to permit issuers and advisors in the field of the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet), the Environmental Activities Decree (Besluit activiteiten leefomgeving), and related general administrative measures.
- Represent the municipality or province during objection and (higher) appeal procedures.
- Represent the organization in meetings with companies, residents, and other stakeholders.
- Make a substantive contribution to complex permit procedures.
- Contribute to policy development and implementation of new legislation and regulations.
- Keep abreast of legal developments and jurisprudence.
- Make these developments applicable to permit issuers and advisors.
- Proactively inform management about these developments.
