You will contribute to the recovery and stability of individuals with psychiatric issues within a protected living environment. This residential facility accommodates approximately 15 residents with a diagnosed psychiatric condition, often combined with addiction, problematic debts, or a lack of daily activities. Close collaboration is maintained with mental health professionals to provide structure, safety, and stabilization.
The guidance focuses on promoting and maintaining skills, social participation, and the restoration of human dignity. You will work in a committed, stable, and enthusiastic team consisting of personal counselors, nurses, and residential counselors.
What you do
- Support and guide residents in their daily lives with the aim of self-reliance and social participation.
- Guide living skills and support the building/maintaining of a social network.
- Stimulate structured daily and time activities and participation in work or (re)creative activities.
- Identify needs and, together with the client, contribute to drawing up and adjusting the personal plan.
- Ensure a safe and orderly living environment and act as the first point of contact for residents.
- Report, participate in work meetings, and perform administrative tasks.
Profile
- Completed MBO 4 (Dutch vocational education level 4) degree in Social Work.
- Insight into addiction problems.
- Insight into psychological and/or psychiatric conditions.
- Ability to motivate and stimulate clients, focusing on their strengths.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Preferably, knowledge of motivational interviewing and other interview techniques that contribute to a good helping relationship.
- A good team player with knowledge of their own strengths and weaknesses.
- Ability to work irregular shifts, including day and evening shifts.
- You endorse the Christian mission of the organization and wish to actively contribute to it.
Practical
- A positive Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required. The costs will be reimbursed after employment.
