Policy Officer Safety

• Internal sparring partner for casework concerning integral safety and Care&Safety.
• Advises the board regarding Integral Safety.
• Advises the board on the policy area of Domestic Violence & Child Abuse.
• Account holder for a regional safety organization.
• Takes over existing files and handles current safety casework.
• Attends regional meetings from the policy area of Domestic Violence/Child Abuse.
• Point of contact for chain directors regarding complex safety casework.
• Devises, updates, and formulates policy concerning integral safety and advises the board.
• Develops and implements safety policy and implementation plans.
• Translates national developments or specific local safety problems into policy, proposals, and/or concrete implementation plans and ensures their execution.

• Works closely with a colleague responsible for Crisis Management and Undermining.
• Connector who brings together different disciplines within and outside the organization.
• Aware of diverse interests and able to find the right balance.
• Can think in scenarios, switch quickly, and set and revise priorities where necessary.

What they ask

• Demonstrably completed HBO bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience as a policy officer at a public organization.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in one of the following domains: Safety, Care, or Prevention.
• Minimum 2 days a week physical presence at the office and attends regional meetings where necessary.

Preferences.

• Demonstrably completed HBO bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Integral Safety, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a policy officer in the social domain at a public organization.
• Demonstrable work experience within the integral safety domain at a public organization.
• Demonstrable work experience with coordination and consultation with internal and external stakeholders, such as care providers, welfare organizations, and chain partners.
