You will translate technical customer questions into appropriate advice and manage quotes, orders, and related agreements. In this internal sales role, you will be involved from the initial request to delivery and invoicing. You will collaborate with the external sales team and international manufacturers. There is an onboarding period of approximately one year to thoroughly learn about the products, customers, and applications.
What you do
You will help customers choose solutions within industrial electrical engineering and automation, focusing on machine builders, installers, and system integrators. Your activities include:
- Advising clients: research applications, translate requests into suitable products or solutions, and liaise with manufacturers for specialized knowledge.
- Guiding quotes: prepare quotes, actively follow up on them, and discuss the necessary steps to secure an order.
- Monitoring orders and progress: process orders and keep track of planning, production, delivery, and invoicing.
- Developing relationships: maintain customer contact and identify opportunities for additional products or new requests.
- Collaborating with the external sales team: support commercial processes and contribute to more complex projects.
- Occasionally support trade fairs and other sales and marketing activities.
What they ask You are interested in the practical application of technology, ask targeted questions, clearly explain possibilities, and combine customer focus with accurate follow-up. You work independently and adhere to agreements. Additionally, you possess:
- A completed MBO-4 education in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or Control Engineering, supplemented with HBO thinking level.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a commercial or technical internal sales role.
- Excellent proficiency in Dutch and English.
- Knowledge of German or French is a plus.
