Dutch Teacher

• You teach students in level 2 and entry-level programs, such as Healthcare & Welfare Assistant, Business Services Assistant, and Sports & Recreation Employee.
• You teach very diverse classes, including many students who do not have Dutch as their home language or who have been in the Netherlands for a relatively short time.
• You are primarily assigned to the subject of Dutch and also serve as a study career counselor.
• You create a safe and trusting learning environment where students feel seen and motivated.
• You pay a lot of attention to personalized learning, working in a goal-oriented manner and having a lot of freedom.
• From your expertise, you contribute to the development and alignment of the educational curriculum.
• You are involved in the personal development of a group of students and conduct coaching conversations.
• You have secondary tasks that allow you to emphasize certain aspects of your work.
• You adopt a specific educational philosophy.

What they ask

• Pedagogical/didactic competencies, for example, thanks to a teacher training program or PABO with additional training.
• Preferably, a qualification for teaching Dutch.
• Experience teaching NT2 groups is highly welcome.

• A temporary appointment that can be continued if suitability is proven and circumstances remain unchanged.
