Work for a government organization committed to national security. You will contribute to supporting colleagues domestically and internationally with equipment, supplies, and IT. You will test mission-critical military applications for a land forces unit. You will work in a Scrum team with developers, architects, and operational personnel. The software supports command and control by disseminating positions, automating planning processes, and distributing orders and reports.
You will also test the integration of sensors, military radios, satellite communications, and civilian communication means. Regular field testing is possible.
What you do
- Create test scenarios and test cases based on requirements and assist in their execution.
- Document and evaluate findings and test results.
- Review user documentation.
- Coordinate and execute system or lab tests with the team and/or fellow test engineers.
- Prepare test scenarios and reports for complex integration and system tests.
- Perform cross-team (System) Integration tests.
- Review user stories and requirements, determining their testability.
- Design test cases based on user stories and requirements.
What they ask
- HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, preferably a completed ICT education or comparable combination of education and experience, verifiable by an assessment if necessary.
- Specific additional training in testing, such as T-map or ISTQB.
- At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a tester with executing test trajectories, preparing test plans, and test reports.
- At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience with software, hardware, and system integration tests.
- At least 3 years of demonstrable experience with testing interoperability between systems (and testing interfaces).
- At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience in an agile environment (preferably SAFE).
- Some network (configuration / protocols) and Firewall (configuration) knowledge.
- Some experience with testing backend systems (e.g., Windows services).
- Affinity with Hardware (network equipment, servers, etc.).
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
